Dr. Penn is a clinical psychologist, License No. PSY 16149. He has been practicing for over 12 years. Dr. Penn’s primary office is in Brentwood, California. He has two other offices, one in Beverly Hills and one in Encino, California. Dr. Penn primarily works with individual adults as well as couples. Common issues that his cliental are working on include:
-
Relationship Issues: Are you unable to find or sustain a healthy relationship? Do you find that you pick the same type of person to date? Finding love and creating a life together can be difficult and challenging.
-
Career Issues: It can be very difficult to find something that speaks to your heart and soul while also meeting your financial goals. In addition, it can be difficult to navigate the corporate world and the relationships/politics that are part of the fabric of the work environment.
-
Self Esteem: How we see ourselves affects every other relationship and endeavor. It can be very difficult to find love and success when our self-esteem is compromised.
-
Family Stress: Therapy and dysfunctional families seem to go hand in hand. Faulty parenting, traumatic events and conflicting personalities are common causes of psychological distress.
-
Depression and Anxiety: These are two of the more debilitating emotions. Overcoming them is a key to emotional wellness.
-
Existential Angst: Especially now… in a world that can seem volatile and dangerous, many people are looking to find meaning and purpose in their lives.
-
Couples. Relationships can be spectacular and fulfilling and yet incredibly painful and unfulfilling. Communication, sex, passion, and unresolved psychological dynamics are issues that are ripe for couple’s therapy.
Dr. Penn is an adjunct faculty at Antioch University, Los Angeles where he teaches Masters level students. Some of the classes he has taught include:
