I was in the audience at Azusa Pacific University for the program Connect For Success, given by the Department of Children and Family Services. Your talk was interesting, informative and thought-provoking. I've attended many, many conferences over the 17 years I've been a legal guardian to my grandson and learned many things. Your speech however was the very, very best I've ever heard. While I felt it was directed primarily at the young people in the audience it certainly applied to changes that adults must make in their lives. I just finished typing four pages of notes I took and will begin to incorporate some of your suggestions.

I Truly wish my own grandson could have heard you. Life has not been easy for him, but his adult life is going to be worse if he doesn't get over it and move on.

Eric is part of the Renaissance program at Cal Poly, Pomona. This is a group of about 30 former foster students who are enrolled at the University. They are all bright, capable students, but truly have struggled over the years. I'm going to suggest your name to the director as a possible speaker to these young people.
